A few days ago, I was just reading in the internet about Sandra Bullock's double Golden Globe nomination for her role in The Proposal and The Blind Side. It was just a regular news for me. Nothing really special. But, in a brief moment I thought, "I never heard that Sandra has a new movie called The Blind Side before.."
Then, two days ago, when I just got back from campus, I went to the nearest DVD store to look for new rom-com movies. But there wasn't any.
And then, there's The Blind Side. "Well, isn't it that Sandra Bullock's movie that landed her in the Golden Globe nomination?" I thought to myself. I wasn't really that interested, but I just bought it anyway.
So, that afternoon, I watched The Blindside. Without knowing what is it about, or anything, I just watched it. (Well, obviously, I believe in Sandra..)
And it was worth watching. Really worth it.
The Blind Side is about a boy named Michael Oher, a homeless African-American kid from a broken home (his mother is a drug addict who has 12 kids and doesn't even remember which one's Michael's father is. And Michael never know his father.) Michael was taken by the Touhys, played by Tim McGraw as Sean Touhy and Sandra Bullock as Leigh Ann Touhy, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential.
It was really a wonderful story to watch and I'm really inspired. Oh, and did I mention that it's based on a true story? Yes, it's based on a true story which was made into a book called "The Blind Side: Evolution of A Game" and now is made into a movie.
The Blind Side is really an inspiring story and I think you guys should watch it. It's about sport, hope, family, love and I think it's also about destiny.
The movie was beautifully written and it's really really amazing what Michael Oher has achieved now.
This is the movie's poster.
and this is Michael Oher with his adoptive Dad and Mom,
and this is Michael with the whole family,
And because his incredible talent in sports, he is the Baltimore Raven's first pick on 2009 draft as a Left Tackle,
Seriously, I'm really excited about this story and movie. And I really, really recommend this movie to anyone outthere!
seriously, watch it
